SDP Investment Forms a Joint Venture with an International Institutional Investor to Acquire U-Show Plaza in Beijing
Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm represented SDP Investment in the formation of a joint venture with an international institutional investor in connection with the acquisition of U-Show Plaza in Beijing for an investment amount of approximately RMB4 billion. This transaction is one of the largest acquisitions with foreign investment in the Beijing real estate market since the global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
SDP Investment, founded by Mr. CHI Miao, former Warburg Pincus head of real estate for Asia, is an integrated real estate investment management firm focusing on acquisition of prime properties in Tier 1 cities in China and achieving value appreciation through market positioning and asset management.
The acquired property, U-Show Plaza, is a 12-storey commercial and office complex with a total construction area of approximately 130,000 square meters, which is located in the Beijing South Railway Station area in Fengtai District in Beijing, China.
