Leslie Plaskon is a partner in the Finance and Restructuring practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s New York office. She has extensive experience in the representation of senior lenders, alternative and specialty lenders as well as borrowers in connection with leveraged buyout financings, workouts, debt restructures, debtor-in-possession financings and intercreditor issues. She also has extensive experience in representing the agent bank, lending group and steering committees in Chapter 11 cases or out-of-court restructurings and workouts.


  • Handled major transactions for financial institutions such as Wells Fargo Finance, UBS, Morgan Stanley, Barclays, Toronto Dominion and General Electric Capital Corporation including:
    • Representation of Citigroup, Barclays, Nomura, Deutsche Bank and Jefferies in $8.7 billion acquisition financing of PetSmart, the largest specialty pet retailer, by a consortium led by BC Partners
    • Representation of Toronto-Dominion Bank, as administrative agent, in connection with reserve-based credit facility and financing of Apollo’s $2.2 billion acquisition of Encana’s Bighorn assets
    • Representation of Wells Fargo in $350 million acquisition financing of Premier Trailer Leasing
    • Representation of Morgan Stanley Senior Funding, Inc. as agent and Morgan Stanley Senior Funding, Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC , Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. as joint lead arrangers and joint bookrunners of $415 million asset based revolving loan credit facility to XPO Logistics, Inc., an intermodal and logistics management company.
    • Representation of Wells Fargo in $150 million asset-based revolving facility to DJO Finance LLC, a global provider of medical device solutions
    • Representation of Great Rock Capital, GA Capital and other alternative lenders in connection with numerous financings, including General Wireless, Evine, Reichhold Chemicals, Hancock Fabrics and Sypris Inc.
    • Representation of Furniture Brands, Centerline, Power Solutions and other borrowers in various finance facilities
  • Represented either the agent bank, lender group or steering committee in the bankruptcy cases or out-of-court restructures involving, among others, CHC Helicopters, Sandridge Energy, Southcross Energy Partners, RG Steel, BearingPoint, Eddie Bauer, New Vision Broadcasting, American Safety Razor, Greatwide Logistics Services, Leiner Health Products, Lenox China Inc., and Allegiance Telecom
