
Overview
Elizabeth Minoofar is an associate in the Employment Law Department and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Ms. Minoofar represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, pay equity, website accessibility and wage-and hour matters. In addition, she has represented clients in complex contract disputes and employee mobility actions. Ms. Minoofar has represented clients in multiple jurisdictions in state and federal courts, appellate courts, arbitration and administrative proceedings, and has extensive trial and arbitration experience. In addition to litigation, she regularly assists employers to tackle novel employment issues, develop creative solutions to employee-specific issues, and review and revise their employment policies and procedures.
Ms. Minoofar received her J.D., from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Stanford University, where she competed on the Track and Field Team in the javelin. Ms. Minoofar is admitted to practice in California.

- Prevailed at arbitration on all claims in single-plaintiff action against consulting firm for gender discrimination and failure to promote.
- Won summary judgment against multiple putative class actions alleging PAGA and other wage-and-hour claims.
- Represented cryptocurrency firm in trial of complex breach of contract and fiduciary duty, fraud, tortious interference, and trade secret misappropriation claims.
- Part of team representing video game client against overlapping government investigations and litigation asserting array of gender discrimination claims, harassment, and related retaliation claims, spanning more than a decade.
- Enforced and compelled arbitration under various agreements.
- Represented entertainment client in large-scale class action alleging gender pay and promotion discrimination in violation of the California Equal Pay Act.
