Overview
Jeff Koh is of counsel in the Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Private Equity practices at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's New York office.
Jeff’s practice focuses on structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions. He represents private equity sponsors, venture capital funds, and strategic acquirers in making investments on the buy-side, and represents businesses and portfolio companies in raising liquidity on the sell-side. He also advises companies on their day-to-day corporate governance, employee and management compensation structures, and liquidity events and distributions. He has represented over 50 searchers, search funds, and search fund operating companies in all aspects of search and entrepreneurship through acquisition.
Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Jeff served as president of the Chinese American Bar Association of Greater Chicago and clerked at the Delaware Court of Chancery. At the University of Michigan Law School, Jeff served on law review, founded the Michigan Journal of Private Equity & Venture Capital Law, and placed as a national finalist in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
