Sachin Bhatmuley is an associate in the Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's San Diego office. His practice focuses on intellectual property litigation with a particular emphasis on disputes involving patents and trade secrets.
Mr. Bhatmuley has a technical background in Electrical Engineering with a strong focus in digital wireless communications and RF systems engineering. Prior to his law practice, he gained valuable experience at a global wireless technology company designing early 3G wireless networks. Subsequently, he was deeply involved in the licensing of 3G and 4G technology in South East Asia, India, Africa, and the Middle East. In that capacity, he also spearheaded and ran an in-house incubator helping technology startups in India.
Mr. Bhatmuley received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of San Diego with specialization in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. During law school, he was recognized by the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) for his academic achievements and his commitment to the South Asian community.
Mr. Bhatmuley has authored scholarly articles on the Ex Parte Seizure Provision of the Defend Trade Secrets Act and on the impact of the Impression Products v. Lexmark ruling on patentee rights.
