Overview

Catherine Richardson is a partner in the Tax practice and is based in Paul Hastings’ London office.

Catherine advises clients on U.K. and international tax (both direct and indirect tax), in particular in relation to structured credit and financing transactions. Her experience spans a wide rate of international debt and equity capital markets transactions, structured finance, fund finance transactions, real estate financing transactions, corporate M&A transactions, and general banking and finance matters.

Catherine has been recognized in Legal 500 UK in the corporate tax category, with clients noting that she is “a pleasure to work with, always interested in finding the best solution for clients, complemented by excellent technical knowledge and depth of experience.” Catherine was named a Rising Star by Law.com International’s list of The UK Legal Industry’s Best Up-And-Coming Women Lawyers for 2025 and was specifically recognized for her “technical brilliance and ability to navigate complex legal and jurisdictional issues.”

She is admitted to practice in England and Wales and is also admitted as a legal practitioner (non-practicing) in Queensland, Australia.
