
Overview
Kate Ryan is of counsel in Paul Hastings’ Global Finance practice and is based in the firm’s Boston office. Kate represents direct lenders, banks and other financial institutions in a variety of commercial finance matters and has experience negotiating syndicated revolving and term loans, asset-based facilities, warehouse facilities, bridge facilities, cross-border financing transactions, exit financings, and loan workouts and restructurings.
Kate is a primary resource for firm clients and attorneys regarding legal issues involving Articles 8 and 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), including structuring secured transactions, reviewing and analyzing collateral packages, negotiating transaction documents and UCC opinions, and performing collateral audits to determine the status of secured parties’ security interests.
Before joining Paul Hastings, Kate practiced in the debt finance group at another global law firm. She has also completed a clerkship in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts. Kate graduated with honors from Boston College Law School, where she served as executive editor of the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter-Digest. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York.
