Overview
Kevin Taylor is of counsel in the Corporate Department of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s London office. He advises investment banks, asset managers, private credit and corporate clients on a wide range of derivatives, structured products and structured finance transactions.
Kevin advises on a range of asset classes, including credit, commodities, indices, FX and rates. He has experience in asset-based lending as well as risk transfer transactions, including back-leverage structures, securitisations, secured loan transactions, Islamic finance, TRS, repo and risk participation transactions.

Representations
- Advising originators, private equity investors and investment banks with respect to non-performing/non-conforming loan portfolio acquisitions/disposals and financing transactions.
- Advising originators and arrangers/lenders on consumer loan ABS, receivables financings, mortgage-backed private and public securitisations and back-leverage finance transactions.
- Advising clients on total return swap structures, including the financing of a large portfolio of OTC and physical commodities transactions.
- Advising clients on risk transfer structures, including risk participations, credit linked notes and CDS transactions.
- Advising issuers on updates to EU-listed debt issuance, structured note and repackaging programmes and with respect to structured notes issuances and listings.
- Advising utilities companies with respect to whole business securitisations, Holdco and Midco financing transactions/structures.
- Advising a U.K. bank on the establishment of the first U.K. regulated covered bond programme with a cover pool comprised entirely of buy to let loans.
- Advising credit funds, originators and financial institutions with respect to structured repo financing transactions.
- Advising large financial institutions on deal contingent hedging on a number of European M&A transactions.
- Advising hedge providers on various securitisation, covered bond, whole business securitisation and forward flow warehouse transactions.
