
Overview
Margaret Whalen is an associate in the Real Estate practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Maggie focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions across asset classes, including acquisitions and dispositions, mortgage and mezzanine financings, development and leasing matters, and single-asset and conduit CMBS transactions. She has experience representing lending institutions, private equity funds, debt funds, joint ventures, REITs and borrowers in a broad range of commercial real estate matters.
Maggie received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law. While in law school, she served as notes editor for the University of Illinois Law Review and was a judicial extern for Judge Robert M. Dow of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
