Overview

Peter Williams is a partner in the Corporate Department at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s New York office. He is lead counsel for lenders and investors across the private credit market, advising private credit funds, business development companies, institutional investors and investment banks on sponsor- and non-sponsor-backed LBOs, dividend recapitalizations, capital solutions, opportunistic investments and other lending and investment transactions. He has broad experience spanning the entire capital structure, including unitranche, first lien/second lien, mezzanine, preferred equity, equity co-investments, structured credit, and other secured and unsecured lending transactions and equity investments.

A selection of Peter’s representations includes KKR, Blackstone Credit and Insurance, Owl Rock, Silver Point Capital and Stone Point Credit. 

Peter previously was a managing director at KKR, where he was the U.S. head of structuring, a role in which he led structuring, negotiation and documentation for private credit transactions.
