Overview

Rachael Hashmall is a partner in the Investment Funds & Private Capital practice at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s New York office.

Rachael advises asset managers and investors on the development and launch of innovative financial products and services. She has extensive experience working with high-net-worth investors, family offices, fund sponsors and financial institutions in connection with fund formations and their ongoing operations, investment due diligence, private equity and debt transactions, regulatory compliance and cross-border structuring.

Her practice spans a broad range of private investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity and credit funds, fund of funds and other hybrid structures. Rachael also has experience structuring and negotiating seed and strategic investments, and she helps clients design tailored solutions such as joint ventures, co-investment platforms, managed accounts and other strategic partnerships.

Rachael further provides strategic guidance to clients on navigating complex regulatory frameworks, including advising on the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, Regulation D of the Securities Act of 1933 and the Corporate Transparency Act.
