Overview

Alexander Temel is global Co-Chair of the Private Equity practice at Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Boston office.

Alex focuses his practice on advising private equity clients in connection with leveraged recapitalizations, management buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, structured preferred and growth equity investments, and search fund transactions. Alex regularly represents clients in the software, financial services, business and consumer services, oil and gas, real estate, healthcare, and media industries. He also serves as primary general counsel to a number of privately held companies and represents entrepreneurs and management teams in connection with rollover transactions and new ventures.

Alex’s representative private equity clients include Aesthetic Partners, Arches Medical Partners, Goldman Sachs, Great Hill Partners, Housatonic Partners, Sixth Street, Thayer Street Partners, and TVV Capital, among others. He also represents more than 50 search funds and related investors, in addition to serving as primary general counsel to a number of private companies, including BigChange, Buyers Edge Platform, EnterpriseDB, Arches Medical Partners, Global Rescue, Ikon Science, Locus Robotics, Not On The High Street, QMC Telecom International, Prodege, TodayTix, and Varicent.

  • CA Healthcare Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company focused on investing in a growth-oriented healthcare company, in its business combination with LumiraDx Limited, a next-generation point-of-care diagnostics testing company. The transaction had an implied pro formaequity value of US$3 billion.
