Amendments to California Law Impose Additional Responsibilities on Employers

The California State Legislature recently enacted a variety of additions and amendments to the California Labor Code, Civil Code, and the Fair Employment and Housing Act, among other laws, which impose greater responsibilities on California employers. We have summarized a portion of those additions and amendments that take effect on January 1, 2002. California employers should note these changes and revise their policies accordingly.
