The end of 2001 is fast approaching. Employers who have not already done so should immediately consider whether they need to take prompt action to deal with the employee benefit plan changes authorized or required by the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 and a few other recent laws and regulations. They should also confirm that they are in full compliance with the many earlier benefit law changes collectively referred to as "GUST."
