Paul Hastings LLP advised Vía 40 Express, VINCI Highways, and Constructora Conconcreto in one of Colombia's largest financial transactions in the infrastructure sector, the long-term financing of Vía 40 Express for 2,602 billion Colombian pesos (approx. US$578 million). This multi-source financing includes a combination of COP-denominated, UVR-denominated and synthetic COP tranches provided by a diverse group of local development banks, international commercial banks and international and locally-managed infrastructure debt funds. 

The financing will go towards additional lane construction, rehabilitation, and modernization of the Bogotá-Girardot highway in Colombia, which is the country’s busiest toll road and is currently operated by Vía 40 Express under an approximately 25 year, traffic-risk concession agreement granted by the Colombian national infrastructure agency (ANI).
