Paul Hastings Advises Genera Energy in its Acquisition by Ara Partners
Chicago – Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm advised Genera Energy, the largest integrated manufacturer of non-wood agricultural pulp and molded fiber products, in the investment in the company by Ara Partners.
Ara and the Genera management team will expand the company's production footprint across the U.S. to address the growing demand for domestically sourced sustainable packaging. Genera is poised to capitalize on explosive growth in the sustainable packaging market, benefiting from structural tailwinds, including onshoring of supply chains, and companies and consumers seeking sustainable alternatives to plastics.
Partners Matt Murphy, Brian Richards, Kelly Padgett, Jeffrey Goldfarb led the Paul Hastings team, which also included of counsel Jeremy Rocklage, and associates Megan Craig, Sabine Houben and Damian Lu.
