Overview

Hiroyuki Hagiwara is a partner in the Litigation Department and based in the firm’s Tokyo office. Mr. Hagiwara offers 30 years of experience in patent licensing, litigations and disputes. Mr. Hagiwara has handled wide-ranging technical subject matters from electronics, software, chemical, pharmaceutical, biologics, semiconductor, telecommunication to automotive. He has represented US, European, Asian and Japanese clients in various legal matters.  He has a balanced experience in representing both patentee/plaintiffs and implementer/defendants.  He has litigated in all of the well-known patent case venues such as the Eastern District of Texas, the Western District of Texas, the District of Delaware, the Central District of California, the Northern District of California, the ITC and the PTAB.  He regularly leads and executes international portfolio licensing and litigation projects across the borders. 

Clients and independent sources have singled him out as one of the very best in navigating the complex cross-border dispute landscape.
