Overview
Carlos Nicholas Obando is an of counsel in the Tax practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s San Francisco office.
Carlos advises public companies, private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on the federal income tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and corporate separations. He has significant experience structuring tax-free spin-offs, Up-C transactions, partnership taxation and cross-border transaction planning.
Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Carlos practiced in the tax department of another international law firm.
