Overview
Amy T. Chau is an associate in the Employment Law practice and is based in the firm's Los Angeles office. She represents employers in all aspects of employment law and labor relations in both single-plaintiff and class action matters, including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and harassment matters in federal and state courts.
Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Ms. Chau served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Gonzalo P. Curiel of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
Ms. Chau received her J.D., cum laude, in 2020 from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as Managing Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal, President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, and member of the Constitutional Impact Litigation Practicum. She also served as a student attorney in the Center for Applied Legal Studies Clinic, through which she successfully won her clients a grant of asylum while appearing in Baltimore Immigration Court. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Milton A. Kaufman Prize for her work on the Georgetown Law Journal. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Law and Society, magna cum laude, in 2017 from the University of Southern California.
