Overview

Jake Rutherford is an associate in the Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Houston office. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, representing clients in state and federal courts across the country in a wide range of business disputes. Mr. Rutherford also has extensive experience conducting internal corporate investigations and handling expert witnesses.

Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Mr. Rutherford clerked for the Honorable Phil Johnson of the Supreme Court of Texas.

Mr. Rutherford received his law degree, summa cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2016, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Tech Law Review. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Texas in 2013. Mr. Rutherford is admitted to practice law in Texas and is admitted to the bar in all Federal District Courts in Texas.
