Associate General Counsel

Overview

Lauren A. Haberman is an Associate General Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel and is based in the firm’s New York office. She advises the firm, its lawyers and its personnel on legal and risk management issues, such as ethics, firm policies, compliance and litigation. Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Ms. Haberman worked in the Office of the General Counsel at another prestigious law firm in New York. Her previous work included handling all aspects of discovery directed to the firm, claims, drafting information governance initiatives, and advising on policies. Earlier in her legal career, Ms. Haberman was a litigation associate with a practice that was focused on electronic discovery.

Ms. Haberman received her B.A. degree in Communications Studies from the University of Michigan and her juris doctorate degree, cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law. At Fordham, Ms. Haberman was the Business Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal. She was also an active member of Fordham Law Women and held the positions of Co-President and Treasurer.

Ms. Haberman is a member of the New York City Bar Association and admitted to practice in the courts of New York, and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
