Thomas Jordan is an associate in the Litigation Department of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Thomas' areas of focus include investigatory work and white collar defense for clients, as well as providing compliance advice on anti-corruption/anti-bribery regimes, sanctions, and international trade controls. In addition, he has advised on issues involving the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.

Thomas has extensive experience with internal investigations of potential violations of U.S. anti-corruption, export control and sanctions laws, with a particular focus on Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia. His background in the Russian language and in Eastern Europe has provided him advanced insight into investigations in the Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine and other countries in the region.

Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Thomas served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, where he worked in Signals Intelligence, and as a Russian interpreter and inspector at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, participating in successful nuclear arms control inspections throughout Russia and posting for two months as agency liaison to the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan.

Thomas received his law degree in 2017 from Georgetown University Law Center. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
