Paul Hastings Advises Glenfarne on $865 Million Acquisition of Solar and Battery Storage Assets in Chile

Paul Hastings LLP advised Glenfarne Asset Company on its $865 million acquisition of a portfolio of solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) assets in Chile from Metlen Energy & Metals. The portfolio, with a combined capacity of 909 MW, comprises 588 MW of operating solar and associated BESS facilities with a capacity of 1.61GWh (321 MW equivalent).

Paul Hastings previously advised Glenfarne its agreement to acquire the portfolio, which was signed in April 2025.

The Paul Hastings team included partners Robert Leung and Mike Huang, of counsel Jason Hill and associate Anna Hardcastle.
