Paul Hastings Advises Southern Energy Renewables on Business Combination Agreement with DevvStream

Paul Hastings LLP advised Southern Energy Renewables, a U.S.-based producer of low-cost fuels made from biomass, on a definitive agreement to combine with DevvStream (Nasdaq: DEVS), a leading carbon management and environmental-asset monetization firm, under a new U.S.-domiciled, Nasdaq-listed company. The new company will operate under the name Southern Energy Renewables, and the combination is expected to occur in the first half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

In addition to the business combination, Southern Energy Renewables has completed an approximately $2 million PIPE investment in DevvStream.
