Paul Hastings LLP received the “Americas Power Deal of the Year” award from Project Finance International (PFI) for its representation of the note purchasers and letter of credit providers in Innergex Renewable Energy’s US$803.1 million financing. The financing consisted of a US$710 million issuance of green bonds maturing in 2036 and a US$93.1 million letter of credit facility. The deal was the largest U.S. private placement and largest renewable project bond from Latin America in recent history and one of the first to feature a new-build battery financing component.
