Stuart Downey is an associate in the Corporate practice and is based in the firm's Century City office. He practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and general corporate and securities laws. Mr. Downey received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif and earned certificates in Business and Entertainment Law. As a law student, Mr. Downey worked for the General Counsel of the Federal Communications Commission. Mr. Downey holds an M.A., with distinction, in Cultural and Creative Industries from King's College London. His dissertation evaluated Video on Demand distribution platforms and their financial effects on independent film distributors. Mr. Downey graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma, receiving a B.A. in political science. Mr. Downey is admitted to practice in the state of California.
