Chanse Barnes is an associate in the Corporate department of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Houston office. Mr. Barnes has experience representing private companies, portfolio companies, and management teams in diverse and complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, entity formation, and general corporate matters. Mr. Barnes also has experience representing commercial banks and financial institutions in several financing transactions, including syndicated bank loans, reserve-based loans, and exit facilities in connection with bankruptcy emergence.
Mr. Barnes received his law degree from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2017, where he served as Editor in Chief of the LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from LSU in 2013. Mr. Barnes is admitted to practice law in Texas.
