Paul Hastings' Investigations and White Collar Defense Practice was named Washington D.C.’s White Collar Litigation Department of the Year by The National Law Journal. The publication noted the firm’s challenging, high-profile representation of Gordon Sondland, U.S. Ambassador to the EU, in the impeachment proceedings against President Trump. The feature noted how the practice advanced their client’s interests in “a pivotal moment of the impeachment proceedings.” NLJ’s feature also noted the firm’s successful representation of an international bank in a settlement with the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) which included no admission of liability and a 98% reduction of OFAC’s penalty demand.
