Nao Takada is an attorney in the Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s New York office. She is a member of the Intellectual Property practice.
Dr. Takada focuses her practice on complex patent litigations in the fields of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. Her experience spans all aspects of litigation, inter partes review proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, patent counseling, and prosecution. Her primary focus is biotechnology and pharmaceutical matters and her clients have included companies at the forefront of these technologies.
Dr. Takada earned her law degrees from the University of Tokyo and New York University School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Amherst College with honors and her Ph.D. in Genetics and Development from Columbia University. She was a graduate research scientist at Columbia University and conducted research on diabetes and iPS cells. In addition, she researched at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences in Chiba, Japan where she conducted research on remediation using bacteria on radioactive material.
Dr. Takada is admitted to practice in the state of New York and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
