Quadeer A. Ahmed is an associate in the Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Ahmed’s practice focuses on intellectual property matters, including patent litigation and post-grant proceedings (inter partes review, post grant review, and ex parte and inter partes reexamination proceedings).
Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Mr. Ahmed was an associate in the Intellectual Property practice of an international law firm. Mr. Ahmed has more than eight years of experience prosecuting and drafting patent applications relating to signal processing (including significant experience with compression schemes such as H.264/MPEG-4 AVC), printer technologies, satellite technologies, artificial intelligence, database management, telecommunications, cloud computing, and semiconductor devices. Mr. Ahmed served as an active member of independent evaluator teams for various patent pools. Mr. Ahmed also represented clients in ex parte and inter partes reexamination proceedings.

- Representing various companies, including Google and Samsung, in post-grant proceedings.
- Representing Walgreens in a patent litigation involving coupon redemption systems in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
