Ronan O'Sullivan is the chair of the London office of Paul Hastings and vice chair of the global Corporate Department. Mr. O'Sullivan focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance and has considerable experience in private and public takeover work, joint ventures and domestic and cross-border restructurings.

Experience

  • Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. on the acquisition of the patent rights for BAYQIK® quasi-isothermal sulfuric acid converter technology and other related technology from Bayer AG;
  • Filtration Group on the acquisition of the Porous Technologies business of UK-based industrial group Essentra plc. for £220 million;
  • Ares Management on a joint venture with Thor Equities to acquire the Benetton retail space in Paris;
  • City Football Group, the owner of football-related businesses including Manchester City FC, New York City FC, Melbourne City FC, and a minority shareholder in Yokohama F. Marinos, on its partnership with a consortium of high-profile Chinese institutional investors led by China Media Capital.  The agreement will see the consortium of China Media Capital and CITIC Capital invest US$400M in the City Football Group to take a shareholding of just over 13%, valuing City Football Group at US$3 billion;
  • Fosun Property, the Shanghai-based real estate investment management platform of Fosun International, the largest privately-owned conglomerate in China, on the acquisition of a majority stake in Resolution Property Investment Management, the London-based private equity real estate fund manager;
  • Moneygram on its acquisition of MTI Money Transfer Limited;
  • Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. on a number of transactions including its US$913 million acquisition of the Process and Construction business from Oslo-listed Aker Solutions ASA and in connection with its $1.3 billion acquisition of SKM.
