Tim Work is an associate in Paul Hastings' Litigation practice in Washington, D.C. His practice focuses on cross-border and domestic investigations in matters involving the Securities Act, Securities Exchange Act, Investment Advisers Act, Investment Company Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and anti-money laundering laws and regulations. Mr. Work has represented multinational financial institutions and corporate officers and employees before the Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Justice, UK Financial Conduct Authority, and Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). He has an active pro bono practice, having secured the discharge of student loans for a client whose trade school had allegedly violated state educational standards, and successfully appealed the wrongful dismissal of a state prison inmate's civil rights lawsuit. Before joining Paul Hastings, Mr. Work was an investigations and litigation attorney at an international law firm in Washington D.C., and a corporate and capital markets attorney at an international law firm in Germany.
