Jay Stolkin is an associate in the Corporate practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. Drawing on his extensive in-house and firm experience, Mr. Stolkin advises clients on a wide range of corporate transactions and regulatory matters, with a focus on representing financial technology companies.
Prior to joining Paul Hastings, Mr. Stolkin was the general counsel for RADAR, a blockchain and decentralized finance startup, where he navigated a variety of transactional and regulatory issues, including compliance with SEC, CFTC, FinCEN, and other regulations applicable to the issuance, exchange, and transfer of digital assets. He also served on the Board of Managers of the Crypto Rating Council, an organization formed by leading fintech companies to evaluate the likelihood that specified crypto assets constitute securities under federal law. Mr. Stolkin leverages these experiences to guide clients operating in heavily regulated spaces to pragmatic solutions.
Mr. Stolkin counsels clients in a range of industries, including fintech, sports and consumer products, on various corporate law matters, such as venture capital and token financings, mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, and commercial contracts.
Prior to working at Paul Hastings and RADAR, Mr. Stolkin served as a corporate associate at a national law firm.
