Overview

Jinny (Ji Yoon) Lim is an associate in the Litigation Department of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s New York office. Her practice focuses on complex intellectual property litigation matters in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, including litigation in federal District Courts and inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Jinny earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she competed in three national moot court competitions, earning two Best Brief honors and placing as a third-place national semifinalist. She served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Zahid N. Quraishi of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and interned at Bristol Myers Squibb, where she focused on patent exclusivity, antitrust and FDA regulatory issues.

Jinny is active in the legal community as co-chair of the mentorship program at the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York (KALAGNY) and chair of the Auction Committee for its annual gala. She also represents asylum applicants as part of her ongoing pro bono practice.

Jinny holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto and previously conducted translational stem cell research for Canada’s largest biotech company. Jinny is licensed to practice law in New York.
