During law school, she served as Acquisitions Editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy and as an Honors Fellow for the Lawyering (Legal Research and Writing) program. She also participated in the Capital Punishment Clinic, the International Human Rights Clinic, and the Global Gender Justice Clinic. She earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Adelphi University, where she graduated summa cum laude
