Marisa Sherman is an associate in Paul Hastings' Employment Law Department and is based in the firm's Los Angeles office.
Marisa represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, disability accommodation, employee mobility and wage and hour issues. Marisa has defended employers against multi-plaintiff and single-plaintiff lawsuits in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings. She has also tried whistleblower retaliation cases to verdict. Marisa has experience advising a wide variety of employers, including major law firms, technology companies, public utilities, talent agencies, manufacturers, consumer brands and video game developers.
Lead associate in a three-week jury trial in Napa Superior Court. Secured a complete victory for the employer on the retaliation/whistleblower claims.
Lead associate in five labor arbitrations successfully defending against claims that employees were terminated without just cause in violation of the parties'' collective bargaining agreement.
