
Overview
Sara Kalis is of counsel in the Employment Law practice and is based in the firm's New York office. She has a national practice representing employers in all aspects of labor relations. Ms. Kalis advises clients on dealing with unions or the threat of unionization, including contract administration, appearing as the chief spokesman during collective bargaining negotiations, bargaining out of multi-employer health and welfare plans and pension plans, positive employee relations, representation case advice and counsel, and successfully depending arbitrations over complex legal issues. She also has considerable experience in advising on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and consolidations, including preparing all labor-related revisions to the purchase and sale agreements and conducting any required decision or effects bargaining at impacted unionized locations as chief negotiator.
