
Overview
Vanessa Omoroghomwan is an experienced litigation attorney in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, where she focuses on complex civil litigation and appellate advocacy. She brings a strong record of navigating high-stakes disputes for both corporations and individuals.
Vanessa regularly manages all phases of litigation, from developing case strategy to leading discovery and preparing witnesses for trial. She has taken and defended numerous depositions, drafted dispositive and strategic motions, and argued in federal and state courts. Her work also extends to government and internal investigations, where she helps clients respond to sensitive regulatory inquiries with clarity and precision.
Before entering private practice, Vanessa clerked for the Honorable Joseph F. Bianco of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the Honorable Denise J. Casper of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. These experiences deepen her understanding of judicial decision-making and strengthen her advocacy in complex matters.
Vanessa is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, the United States District Court and the United States Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Paul Hastings, she practiced at another leading Washington, D.C. law firm.
She earned her J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as executive editor of the Annual Review of Criminal Procedure on the Georgetown Law Journal. Vanessa holds a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Boston College.
