Connect CRE recognized Real Estate partners Sam Alavi and Michael K. Berman as recipients of its Real Estate Awards 2025. Sam was honored for California and Mike for Washington, D.C.
The awards single out “attorneys nationwide who have made significant contributions to the commercial real estate industry.”
Sam advises private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds and other investment platforms on a wide variety of real estate-related transactions, including, most recently, BKM Capital Partners in the creation with Kayne Anderson Real Estate of a $1.5 billion real estate platform focused on light industrial real estate.
Mike focuses his practice on representing debt funds, lending institutions, private equity funds, developers, investors and operators in a variety of transactions with an emphasis on real estate private equity. His latest work includes advising global investment firm Carlyle on a strategic investment into real estate finance solutions provider North Bridge.
