EBA: Authorities Made Progress in Approach to Supervision of CVA Risk

The European Banking Authority (EBA) published a follow-up peer review report on the exclusion from the credit valuation adjustment (CVA) risk of transactions with non-financial counterparties established in a third country. The review found that all competent authorities have made some progress in strengthening their CVA risk assessments and addressing the follow-up measures suggested as part of that report.

Monetary Policy Report: Bank Rate Maintained at 4%

At its meeting ending Nov. 5, the Monetary Policy Committee voted by a majority of 5–4 to maintain Bank Rate at 4%. Four members voted to reduce Bank Rate by 0.25 percentage points to 3.75%.
