PLI's Hotels 2015: Law and Practice
Hotels are being bought, built and financed at a dizzying pace across the U.S. and globally. This program will draw on the experience of in-house counsel with major hotel operators and lenders, hotel management executives, outside counsel, and other hospitality professionals to explain how your client or company can capitalize on many of the dynamic issues of this interdisciplinary type of practice. Panelists will discuss material issues, risk factors and winning strategies for acquiring, managing or franchising, developing and financing a hotel property, as well as current debt structures and challenging developments in employment, regulatory, branding and other areas. Among the focuses will be recent case law regarding the enforceability of long-term management contracts, cash management issues in financing transactions, and integration of branded residences and time-share programs with traditional hotel operations.
Paul Hastings partner Rick Kirkbride is a featured to discuss "Management and Franchise Agreements" at 2:00 pm.
