Overview

Lauren Glaser is an associate in the Real Estate practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Lauren advises clients on a wide range of land use and environmental matters, including analysis of development potential, entitlement strategy and environmental impact analyses.

Lauren assists landowners, developers and institutions with all matters related to land use and development. She has successfully obtained and defended land use approvals for a variety of developments, including mixed use projects, shopping centers, movie studios and entertainment venues. Lauren advises on issues related to local permitting and approvals, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Subdivision Map Act and state housing laws, among other environmental and land use statutes.

Lauren is a registered lobbyist and advocates on behalf of clients in jurisdictions across the region.

  • A major independent movie studio owner on the entitlement and development of a purpose-built, seven-stage studio project in Los Angeles.
  • Secured approval of a 70-story, 794-unit residential tower in downtown Los Angeles.
  • Counsel for Real Party in Interest and Respondent, teamed with counsel representing another party, in Beverlywood Homes Ass’n, et. al. v. City of Los Angeles, et al., decided in 2018 (Second Appellate District, Case No. B280620).
  • Pro bono counsel for Real Party in Interest and Respondent, teamed with counsel representing another party, in Stewards of Public Land v. City of Pasadena, et al., decided in 2018 (Second Appellate District, Case No. B277996).
