Tim Breems is an associate in the Paul Hastings Real Estate practice and is based in the firm's Chicago office.
Mr. Breems' practice focuses on real estate finance spanning multiple asset classes. This experience includes representing institutional lenders, alternative lenders, and construction lenders in loan originations, modifications, and conversions. Mr. Breems has experience with commercial real estate projects of all types, including office, retail, hotel, multifamily, industrial, energy projects, and data centers. He also represents lenders, investors, and private equity funds in all areas of real estate diligence. Prior to joining the firm, he gained significant experience as a real estate developer and broker.
Mr. Breems received his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 2017. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2011. He is admitted to practice in Illinois.
Represented Bank of America, N.A. and Wells Fargo Bank, National Association, as administrative agents, in connection with $5,145,000,000 in term loan and asset-based revolving credit facilities for Bass Pro Group, LLC's acquisition of Cabela's Incorporated.
Represented Morgan Stanley Senior Funding, Inc. and The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. as lead arrangers with respect to financing provided to Compass Power Generation L.L.C. and its natural gas-fired power plant portfolio companies. The financing consisted of a $750,000,000 term loan facility, a $60,000,000 revolving credit facility, and a $97,000,000 letter of credit facility, the proceeds of which were used to refinance existing debt, fund capital expenditures, and make a dividend.
Represented Citi Community Capital in connection with numerous construction loan originations, modifications, and conversions involving affordable housing and community development projects.
