Paul Hastings Accelerates Cross-Border Transactional Growth with Addition of M&A Team in New York

New York—Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the corporate group of Boies Schiller Flexner LLP will join the firm in New York. The team includes partners Robert Leung, Mike Huang, Stefan dePozsgay, Jason Hill, and Russell Franklin, and their associates.

Robert Leung
Mr. Leung has advised an array of clients (corporations, financial institutions, private investment funds, and family offices) on both domestic and cross-border (primarily in Latin America) M&A, private equity, and financing transactions. He has particular experience advising clients in the energy, natural resources, infrastructure, and retail industries. He served as President of the Asian American Bar Association of New York in 2010 and has since served in a variety of capacities.

Mike Huang
Mr. Huang represents private investment funds, financial institutions, large family offices, and companies in both domestic and cross-border M&A, joint venture, and financing transactions.  His experience spans the full spectrum of a company’s life cycle, from venture investments to growth equity to the acquisition and sale of control. He has particular expertise advising clients in the energy and natural resources and sports, media, and entertainment industries. He served as the President of the Asian American Bar Association of New York in 2013 and has since served on its board.

Stefan dePozsgay

Mr. dePozsgay advises clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, as well as other transactional matters in the U.S., Latin America, and other jurisdictions. In particular, he has significant experience advising on transactional matters in the sports, media and entertainment, energy and natural resources, infrastructure, and retail industries. His clients include private equity firms and other financial sponsors, large family offices with direct investment capabilities, sports franchises and their owners, and hospitality businesses. He also represents emerging growth companies, venture capital investors, and angel investors in a variety of investments and fundraisings, as well as in strategic transactions and exit events.

Jason Hill
Mr. Hill’s practice encompasses a broad range of corporate transactional matters, with a specific focus on M&A, development, and finance transactions in the natural resources and midstream and downstream energy industry. His practice also includes advising private investment funds in connection with their formation, seeding transactions, compliance, and advisory matters.
Russell Franklin
Mr. Franklin has extensive experience representing clients on significant and diverse corporate matters. He has advised private equity entities on the sale and/or purchase of portfolio companies in an array of industries. In addition, he has advised clients on the formation of strategic and longstanding joint ventures.
