Securities Litigation Expert Bolsters West Coast Capabilities

Los Angeles, CA (April 24, 2006) – Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP (Paul Hastings), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that Tom Zaccaro, previously at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld LLP, will join the firm’s Litigation Department, resident in the Los Angeles office. Zaccaro was previously head of litigation for the SEC Enforcement Division in the Pacific Region. His practice focuses on securities litigation, SEC and parallel investigations and on white collar defense.

Zaccaro’s practice encompasses complex civil, commercial and criminal litigation in state and federal courts. In particular, he represents corporations and their officers and directors in securities litigation, class action litigation, and SEC and criminal investigations. He also represents individuals in White Collar criminal cases, grand jury investigations, and congressional hearings. Prior to joining Akin Gump, Zaccaro served as Regional Trial Counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Pacific Regional Office in Los Angeles. Tom is well known within the SEC Enforcement Division in Washington, D.C. and throughout the country. He has also served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, as well as a trial attorney in the Department of Justice, Organized Crime and Racketeering Section.
