Paul Hastings Advises Sekisui House on Launch of U.S. Residential Development Projects

Tokyo (November 7, 2013) - Paul Hastings, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm represented North America Sekisui House, LLC (“NASH”), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Sekisui House, Ltd - Japan’s largest homebuilder and a leading diversified developer - in launching its five new urban multi-family rental residence development projects in the U.S. jointly with the Holland Partner Group (“Holland”). Holland is a major real estate developer headquartered in Vancouver, Washington.

The projects are centered on building rental apartments which will consist of approximately 2,300 residential units in total together with other facilities, located in urban areas in the western United States such as Seattle, Portland, Denver and Los Angeles.

Paul Hastings has represented NASH in a number of its acquisitions and real estate developments in the U.S. over the past few years, including advising on its acquisition of the largest operating portfolio of residential master-planned communities in the United States, and on its initial and subsequent U.S. real estate market transactions.
