Paul Hastings Creates One-Stop Shop for Life Sciences Companies’ Legal, Compliance, and Execution Needs with Addition of Leading Industry Consultant

New York — Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that veteran life sciences consultant BJ D’Avella has joined the firm to lead the creation of a new Life Sciences Consulting Group. D’Avella, who was previously with Deloitte, will serve as Group Leader of a team of life sciences consultants. They will collaborate with the lawyers in Paul Hastings’ leading Life Sciences practice to offer clients a one-stop shop.

For nearly 20 years, D’Avella has assisted global life science companies with program delivery related to compliance and regulatory risks. He possesses deep expertise in risk management activities related to patient services, sales and marketing, medical affairs, and clinical operations. D’Avella has specialized in helping clients navigate complex enterprise-wide projects related to Commercial, Medical, and R&D operations and compliance, especially within the areas of legal and compliance program design, operating model development and implementation, clinical program management (including RWE study execution), monitoring program design and execution, Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) support, and Fair Market Value (FMV) assessments.
