Paul Hastings Represents Confluence Solar in its Acquisition by GT Advanced Technologies

- Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that the firm represented Confluence Solar, Inc. in its acquisition by GT Advanced Technologies Inc., a supplier of polysilicon production equipment and crystalline growth systems.

Confluence Solar, Inc., the developer of HiCz (TM), a continuously-fed Czochralski (CCz) growth technology that enables the production of high efficiency monocrystalline solar ingots, was purchased for $60 million in cash upon closing and up to $20 million of cash earn-outs in 2013 determined upon performance terms specified by GT Advanced Technologies.
