Raymond Wong Elected As A Board Member of China-Britain Business Council

Hong Kong, August 7, 2008 Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, a leading international law firm, announced today that Corporate Partner Raymond Wong has been elected as a Board Member of the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC).

The prestigious appointment will see Mr. Wong join CBBC's Board, which is made up of senior business people from high profile companies with a strong China interest, for a term of three years. The Board members represent a wide variety of business sectors and work for large, as well as small and medium sized companies. The Board brings a wealth of China business expertise to the work of CBBC. Senior representatives of relevant government departments also sit on The Board as Observers.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Wong said: I am delighted to have been appointed a Board Member of CBBC. The organization plays an important role in strengthening business links between Britain and China. Through my experience advising a wide range of Chinese and British clients, I hope to assist in developing this further working closely with the other board members.

Mr. Wong is a partner in Paul Hastings corporate department based in both London and Beijing. He divides his time between the firms China and European offices, with London as his permanent base. Mr. Wongs practice focuses on Chinese companies looking to list on London Stock Exchange as well as mergers and acquisitions. He has advised both Chinese and international corporate and institutional clients on aspects of listings, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and ongoing regulatory compliance. He also has advised on global offerings and listings on the London, New York, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo stock exchanges.

Mr. Wong has extensive experience advising on a broad range of cross boarder transactions involving British and Chinese companies. He has previously advised a number of investment banks and large U.K companies on their investments in China and Hong Kong, as well as advising two U.K-listed Chinese companies, Jetion Holdings Limited and HaiKe Chemical Group Limited, on their regulatory compliance issues and investment plans.
