Symphony Technology Group to Sell First Advantage to Silver Lake

San Francisco – Symphony Technology Group (STG), a private equity firm focused on market-leading data, software and analytics companies, has entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of portfolio company First Advantage, a global leader in background check and drug screening solutions, to Silver Lake.

Paul Hastings advised STG and First Advantage on the transaction, with a team led by partners Steve Camahort and Jeffrey Wolf. The deal team also included partners Rob Silvers, Jim Smulkowski, Lindsay Sparks, Dan Stellenberg, of counsel Michael Wise and associates Evan Griffith, Kami LaBarge, M’Alyssa Mecenas, Lisa Chan and Chris Cruickshank.
